Hello, friends.
It's been a while [since I have blogged on Xanga].
Life is so different now ... then it was the last time I wrote.
As you might now (if you’ve been reading this) my life here at Teen Mania, was switched last May-o from RD (resident director) to the Director of Enrollment in the MOB.
Oddly enough, about a week or so afterwards I started to get sick - and I have been sick ever since. I thought it was simply stress - until I had 3 migraines in one week. I went to the campus nurse - she said we should take blood.
So I went to the clinic in Tyler.....and they took my blood.
And then I had to go back, and they took more -- they were worried.
The results came back about 3-4 weeks ago.
I was in my kitchen when the doctor called…..she said:
‘Tara, from the results of your blood test, it looks like you have either Hashimoto’s disease or Grave’s disease……..’ and then she was quiet.
My response?
A big sigh....‘Oh. ...........ok. Now what’?
I’m sure my face was the picture of shock.
I’m now in the process of going to see an Endocrinologist….to see exactly what it is and what needs to be done in order to treat it.
From my symptoms and the results of the blood test….it seems that it’s probably the latter diagnosis.
It’s just frustrating, because in 6 months, I went from being a healthy 24 year old, to feeling like my body is slowly wasting away. I have lost 15 pounds in the past few months…probably because I have trouble keeping food in my stomach.
Basically – I just need prayer.
I desperately hate feeling sick ALL the time ….but there isn’t anything I can do.
(this is my - 'I am sooooooo completely sick and tired of being ill all the time' face):
I know the Lord can heal me……I know that He is a GOOD Father who withholds nothing – and so I will continue to press in during this dry and desert like time.
Psalm 17:15
As for me, I will see Your face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied when I awake in Your likeness.
Commentary on this passage: 'Clothed with Christ's righteousness, having through his grace a good heart and a good life, may we by faith behold God's face, and set him always before us. When we awake every morning, may we be satisfied with his likeness set before us in his word, and with his likeness stamped upon us by his renewing grace.
